The Maize Growers Association was formed in 1988 by a group of farmers who identified a need for research and development of the maize crop to improve farm business profits.
The MGA is independently run 'by growers for growers'. The farmer led R & D committees commission research on maize agronomy, nutrition and environmental issues. The results are quickly transferred to members through regular mailings, demonstration sites, with replicated trials on member's farms, conferences and study tours.
MGA members also have telephone access to two agronomists and our nutrition consultant.
Farmers growing maize may obtain this valuable information by joining the MGA for an annual subscription of £85 + VAT. For further details and to join please contact the MGA Office.
Creedy Associates run the MGA as a consultancy client. MGA strategy is set by the MGA committees and impletement by the MGA team from a purpose built office nr Crediton.
